Riding in the Rain...

Yeah all about today... haiz...

Took off from duty and wanted to go to tree top walk.. Tim aske dme to go chiong BT... then cycled to 6th avenue where we are supposed to meet. He didn't turnup... Instinct told me that he overslept... So i went to BT visitor centre. Walked up the hill and down for some cross training and stuff.... was anout to leave bt to try out the woodlands way of heading home... ahah, tim called and back in BT i was...

Having little or no experience in uneven terrain, BT to me is kinda too advance.... My bike geometery is uncomfortable for such stuff... But overall, being acustomed to road should forever stay on road. It like a 360degree change in handling... If i wanna change to real mountain biking, i'll take it at a slower pace... hahah... fell and fell and fell... skidded and skidded, my handling on the bike isn't that good on uneven grounds... damn it on my fetish of constant fast motion on my home ground, the road. haha, tim ah.... you should really consider the abilities of others(yeah, me! I suck at uneven terrain) before such rides.... XD

Trying to find some eusol solution at supermarkets is a total waste of time... gah... So bought some disinfectant tissue by Detol. Amazingly, it doesn't stings at all~! =)

So took a cab home and knowly what to do from my previous experience with the doctor.. I DIY~! muahaha... Digging deep into my shallow medical knowledge, bought some gauze and tape for such wounds and stuff....

I must truely say that i felt a sense of relieve the moment i cycled back onto the road. Found a new bike shop, near 6th avenue that tailors to the needs of roadies and triathletes~! Oooo... i wanna get my bike from there!

Overall, a bad and good experience in a way~! haha, lost some blood and fat, which is good. I'll remain to walking or trail running in BT. Of course, cycling remains on the road or flats.... haha...

rode to bukit timah nature reserve today~! with tim! Haha, now i know how dedicated each discipline in cycling is.... muahaha... 3 falls, all 4 limbs have cuts and gashes~! The most nasty one was ARgh~! I was like a gross walking zombie in a supermarket looking for medical stuff.. grr... Cold storage sucks, no pharmacy~! wth...

more to elaborate later at night i hope... time to clean the wounds~!

Hmm, sold my GB advance SP! $80 bucks.... to small kid.. wahaha.... dun noe why he still don't wanna check the console on the spot after repeating requesting him to check... Am i very fierce? =( This is bad service! whaha....

creative had a 6 megapixels interpolated DV camera.... about $238.... hmmm... I need a small and slim camera for my blog...I can't use camera phones yet... gah!~

This is one chio jersey~! *drools*

This is my initial choice! The Seedy Three~! Smaller than my Fux Deluxe though... But still worthy! Not into crumpler? Try www.timbuk2.com , messenger bags with customised colours!

Me bag~! Muahahaha~! I stuffed all the trash which i usually carry to camp in 2 bags... Still can got space to stuff more... OMG~!

Here's a little review after one day of use...

It rocks! =)If you carry it properly, not like the way that everyone is slinging on a shoulder, that is the strap is diagonal to your body... Plus if you adjust the second strap that makes it hug your butt (or back, in my case as i'm carryng heavy load), it's very comfortable! The weight is well distributed and sorts... And i'm still wondering how much more stuff i can put it in!
Overall, i think it's a good investment... Do check out there camera bags too! hehe, got a orange hp pouch to go with it...

*Hugs me crumpler bag* It's here! Hehe.... Seems so much easier to stuff things in than my current deuter bag... lol! dun care even someone in the base has the same bag as me.. it totally rocks!

GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX OST PLUS! Phew... what a long name for an OST... Yeah, it's kinda old. But it rocks! Mostly soulful opera kinda music with a touch of futuristic techno chords! hehe.... Too much indulgence into anime recently...

APPLESEED! Ooo.. For those animation freaks, take a look at this! I bloody good 100% cell-shaded anime!!! ARGH~! *drools* Ok ok, I watched the whole movie actually... but i dun understand the chinese subtitles... gah! So gonna share with bro to get the english one! Woo hoo!

Damn Singpost! Got my address wrong! I double-checked everything to make sure that there is no mistake! Yet the mistake lies in the hands of the courier! TMD! From my previous deliveries by DHL or Fedex, they always end up at my door step! Not a few doors away! ARGH~! Luckily, there isn't anyone that collected the bag on the wrong address... I would have definitely screwed Singpost arse off~! Blah.... Now i can't really trust them with deliveries.... Gotta get me bag on Wed at the main office, Paya Lebar... Grrr...

Another day that i don't want it to end this early. I didn't much time to sort out the comp... haiz...crap i think. I stored the full Naruto manga into my Ipod.. =)

So much to do, so little time... I'm seriously missing those late mornings that i spent lazing in bed half-awake.... It seems to have so much time those days... Haha, nowadays i don't even have time to sleep! argh!

[Edit] On the bright side, my crumpler coming on monday! Weee~! Just only after i shot an email to the post office. Hah, wonder how long would my bag rot at the post office if i have emailed them.. anyways, good night!

Thursday, March 17, 2005

Argh! I'm tired of woating for my crumpler bag to come! IT's here in singapore already! crap... The delievery man didn't even wait for a while for the door to open and he just walked off like that.... ass!

Got talked in to buying another facial as my usual facial wash was out of stock... and it's more expensive!! ah!!! so not much profit gained from selling the lenses...

Seems like lots of the poly people are going in NS pretty much soon this year. Some tips to you guys here! For the remaining time that you have left, treasure it. Otherwise, i won't be really writing all these bullshit here with a little regret. Go learn something! I wasted the few months of freedom playing computer games, PS2 and staying alone to sleep and stuff. And ,of course , going out with friends occassionally which i found to be much more meaningfully then staring at the STUPID screen. Would recommend you to go do stuff that invovles self-improment and stuff like riding and riding and maybe more riding. Go try new stuff! There's confirm some thingy you have never tried till now!

Now on the day of enlistment... Ahh, feeling strange? Reluctant to get enlisted? You will probably see some DJs from Power 98FM, urging you guys to make dedications to your loved ones and friends... blah blah.. Then maybe you will board the ferry, if you are posted to tekong, and set sail to some island which i considered a playground after going through SISPEC. =P At the preparation for some weird 'swearing' ceremony, you would be a kuai kuai rec to say 'yes sir' loudly and with feeling to the guy that recieved you, who is probably your company sergeant major. He will rehearse you guys and then bring you to a bloody big auditorium to SWEAR! wahahhaa... after the whole thingy have lunch or dinner with your parents and say 'bye bye' to your loved ones and 'hello!' your sergeants. Maybe by this time you would be amazed by how organised is the way they managed it.

BAck in bunk, haha! Go make friends! It's your ultimate survival skill there... There should be some from those uniform groups, you can ask them with you need help and stuff. I'm from ODAC so i roughly know how the hell to get along with all the tough training and stuff. And the sergeants and the assholes officers might play with you and stuff, so yeah. Just know that you have to have 7 hours of sleep and stuff... All according to the holy book of TSR. Which i think you can read online at mindef? Nah, i think it's restricted... just know that it's some thick book. You will be more into it if you get into SISPEC. Any problems just go tell your section commanders, they are trained to help you. If you find them incompetent, well they are in real civilian life too. Your main motivation would be from each other and no one else. If your lucky, maybe good motivation from your section commanders. And yeah, those whose commanders are named Nicholas, Derek, Collin, tell me! I might know them! =P So mostly BMT sergeants would talk cock with you after training. Well cut it short if you want more admin time which is equals to free time. =P And yeah, ask for permission to carry on when you knock it down! MUahaha...

By near the ending of your BMT, you might realise that everyone would not be shouting as loud and with feeling as on the first day. Haha, adaptation comes in here. Now you have familiarised yourself with the regimental stuff, and you think that you are king? lol, maintain your self discipline so you don't your arse screwed.

POP! haha, some parade which you can call your parents to come and pass out! WEEE~! The main challenge is to keep still and maintain yer concentration. Just breathe deeply in and out through your mouths... When there's wind, breathe it in! And move your toes or anything movable that can't be seen. If you're skilled enough, move your fingers too. Drink lots of water! plus i almost fell out once. My vision slowly became grey to black... at that stage, most would just drop... I didn't... I knew that i blacked out, but i can still feel my body.. so i controlled... Then command giving to move, so my vision slowly came back... wahha... only if you concentrate well. Then say hello to your loved ones and one week of leave! that's all for bmt...
If you get posted to unit, haha! Welcome to the status of the lowest lifeform in your unit!

Sispec is fun! now it's called BSC, Basic Section course... different from mine... and it's from here where the better or the 'wayang' ones get selected to go for OCS, officers' cadet school or old clown school. Here is where you truely see people in your whole life to show off at the right moment and slacken off when the commanders are not watching. Some have true leadership skills so they are natural... hehe, most probably the JC people are the ones that fight for the OCS candidates... wahaha... I had this selection in BMT... you'll have your selection fight here. Even if they wayang all the way from bmt to here, some of the characters are imbued in them liao... so they might have improved themselves with leadership quanlities... And have fun here! I had more fun here than my BMT or present days in unit...

Graduated as a small fry commander! maybe you get posted to OCS or ASC advanced section course or unit, my congrats to you! I went to a unit.... then you might get to see the internal runnings isn't as smooth as you thought. Internal conflicts fly around, admin inefficiency, slackers, 'tai chi' masters. Signing of extras = more duties as punishment. If your unit is efficent, man you are blessed! If not, you can't really trust the words they say to you. And yeah, be ready for instantaneous change of instructions or expect the unexpected... iShuffle's lingo: Enjoy Uncertainty. Ironically, you don't want to... haha

Typed so much liao.... haiz... Last tip, if you wanna learn driving, learning it when you get into a unit.. then continously ask for off to take the lessons... this would help increase the time spent outside camp. =) hah!

NS would train you in certain life skills... which i might talk about it another time..... later!

hehe! selling off my Rudy project rydon rx lenses on togoparts... seems to be rather misleading to some as they thought i was selling the frame for $50.. Dream on! whaha....

Selling my gameboy sp too.. got bored of games... would rather read now or play RO... lol

Haiz.. Worte my first L.O.E due to same cock ups... while can be indirectly blamed on some other high ranking asshole's incompentence, that need to find a scapegoat. F*ck!

Backpay's gone! Yeap, another stunt from the admin side. Stop using the excuse of uncertainty to cover your f*cking incompetence and mistakes. Nowadays, we can hardly believe the words of others in the base. The adaptation to facing uncertainty has made us numb to what's good or f*cked up stunts that throw to us. And making them give a universal lame excuse of uncertainty. Things happens if we want to make it happened. SHIT happend too with you want it too. Now we are making it to stop F*CKING SHITTING on US! TMD....

Just another insight to the dark side of a well organized major organisation.

A few rather funny encounters with the Americans were the talk of the day! The way they speak is sometimes so cute and funny, you have to control your laughter from brusting out in from of them... lol the most hilarious one is rather sensitive, so i won't be touching on it here. Here's one mild one...

*American guy, smoking in base, followed by a lady*

My friend: Hey, no smoking in the base!
Lady *In a comical tone*: See! He said no smoking in the base! That means no smoking in the base! Why don't you tell him again that "NO SMOKING IN THE BASE?"
My friend: *Stunned* Err...
Lady: He said NO SMOKING IN THE BASE! No smoking in the base you got that? *grins*
American guy: *stubs cigarette away*
My friend: Can i see your ids?
*Lady jumps in front of my friend in a bunny-like pose*
Lady: My ids! *giggles away*
My friend: *sweat drop*

Then went to Suntec IT fair for psychoing ZW to get an Ipod.. lol, i'm evil. But he got an 6GB Ipod in the end! hehehe...

hmmm, hope i get a good night sleep tonight!

Tuesday, March 08, 2005

Hmm, first day back at duty! I misse duty so much man! waahahha! So much freedom and stuff!

Play GB with ZW and maintain the RO acoylte for the whole day. Would be touching back on the assasin the next time i'm back.

Cleared up some of the files in my ipod that has files like 1020kbit/sec.. Re-riped the songs from the original CDs to a much smaller bit rate of 192kb/s....

So cool! i have all the 3 OSTs of LOTRs in my IPod! Wheee~!

Plus Gmail rocks so much more than hotmail! Hotmail you suck~! whahah...

Just got promoted to 3SG! hehe, I really found the excerise that we did damn ultra fun! I love the mini tactical espionage things that we did! lol, I seem to have a thing for hiding around, or something like 'dissolving' into the environment. Camo rocks! hehe.. Well, being a 3SG means more work and more responsibilities! And 'compensated' with less rest! Cool huh?

Just got the jap book today.. hope i'll touch it soon on tuesday. Went to crumpler at wheelock to check out the bags. Apparently Seedy threes went out of stock.. whaha... i think it was a blessing in disguise. I bought a Fox deluxe off the US site which was way cheaper than the aussie one... Dun noe why... lol whatever, just waiting for it to come the next few days...

Hmm, a little something of an old friend that i haven't seen in quite a while! Inch! whahah... She changed a lot yeah! Now she's in a band and doing the vocals! Yeah, the band's name is Auburn's Epiphany.

So yeah, that's all for the night!

P.S Kerwen is getting on my nerves! argh!!

Friday, March 04, 2005

i finally master the art of camouflauge properly! hehe... I can hide in the dark now... WEEE~! heh, started on a acoylte and seems to be doing fine if my bro doesn't downloads at all...
